When Canadian rules apply
Being based in Pune does not remove obligations that apply to messages sent to Canadian recipients. Commercial electronic messaging subject to Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation must have the required consent or a valid exception, identify the sender and include a working unsubscribe mechanism.
Consent and sender identification
A publicly available business email address is not blanket permission for every marketing message. The basis for sending a campaign must be assessed and documented. Messages must include the required sender and contact details, including a valid mailing address where required. Client campaigns require an agreed allocation of responsibilities and evidence of the applicable permission.
Unsubscribe requests
Use the unsubscribe mechanism in a message or email privacy@synergysparkmedia.com. Requests covered by CASL must be processed without delay and no later than 10 business days. Limited records may be retained to ensure that the opt-out is respected. An opt-out from marketing does not prevent a response to a request you initiate.
